    2. When I was growing up (1940s-1950s) there was a state insane asylum on Murfreesboro Road in Nashville. I think it is possible that those who had TB also went there. A lot of people died at home. One family I research had about a third of the family die from TB.     3. The State of Tennessee had for many years and until the 70's or 80's a T.B. Hospital, I think Middle Tennessee Tuberculosis Hospital, on what is now Hart Lane. Was then known as Ben Allen Rd.(between Gallatin Rd & Ellington Pkwy). The building has been remodeled and is used by the State for offices. The land consisted of several acres and today there are several large buildings, the T.B.I., Medical examiner and others. I do not know, but would not be surprised to learn, that some patients were buried on the grounds.
