On page 33 of the new County History book is an article about the murder of two policemen in Shelbyville. The article from the newspaper that was quoted in the article does not exactly match what our family story tells. Although Marion Anderson may have killed the wrong 2 policemen, there was a different motive involved. But that is besides the point. My reason for writing is that perhaps the book and article stimulated some memories of the times, crime, people, etc. and I would like to hear from anyone who remembers hearing anything about it from older family members. I am the great-granddaughter of Marion Anderson (possible born in 1889, married to Tennie Fletcher Anderson), who committed the crime. I would like to know anything I can about his family: names, dates, etc. Thanks for any information any of you might have.
