    3. Can someone who has received their Bedford County book please tell me if there is any information in the book regarding the following family: Clabourn Prince (born ca. 1841) and/or his wife Harriet (Rainey) Prince (born ca. 1843). They appear on the 1880 Bedford county census. They had 3 children that I know of: Nattie, Ardella and Cordella. I would like to order the book since it has received such rave reviews but would like to know if any of my Bedord Co. connections appear. Thanks! Kate

    3. Linda, Thanks for looking for the Lewis Wilhoite name. Jacob Wilhoite IV and his wife Faye of Manchester, TN have written two volumes on the Wilhoite family. I have both of those and didn't know any other people except their daughter Susan who married Simon Peter Vess. Lewis and his family lived on Flat Creek. I lived in Nashville from 1946 until I graduated from VU. My folks were NASHVILLIANS. My daddy's people were the Davis/Mosby/Goodman family of Rutherford Co... The Lavergne area. I have been to Shelbyville to the library several times and Jacob Wilhoite took me to the Duck River about three miles out of Shelbyville to the old farm and the Wilhoite cemetery. The other name starts with a "w" and it is too early in the morning to remember and I haven't had my coffee! I had a wonderful time with Jacob tramping through the tall grasses down to the Duck to see the rockwork of one of the early Wilhoite mills. I love middle TN. We live in Bentonville, AR. NW AR and home of Wal-Mart. Jacob Wilhoite I was a conveyor and brought three groups of folks to Bedford County from Hillsborough(boro), Orange Co., NC. I hope you have a nice weekend.
