    3. Shelbyville Gazette - Aug 14, 1930 - page 2 Samuel H. Chambers Mrs. Chambers died at his home on July 28th, of a complication of diseases at the age of 75 years. He had been sick about three weeks. He leaves a kind and christian wife, two grandchildren, two sons, Rev. Robt. N. Chambers, who is making a success of the Methodist ministry in South Carolina, who was present at his father's death on a visit; Aikin Chamber, the other son is a prosperous farmer. Funeral of the deceased was conducted at the Southern Methodist church at Deason, burial Rev. Joseph Henley, who said among other things, "A person preaches his own funeral during his life-time." The deceased was buried at Burns cemetery in the presence of a large crowd, notwithstanding the hot weather. The deceased was a successful and enterprising farmer, an active member of the Southern Methodist church at Deason, a reader of history and the Bible; a man of influence - with many friends.
