I'm going to post a series of early deeds and surveys related to the Halls and some "associated" families. These are mostly prior to 1840 and focus on families who settled on: 1) "Caney Spring" (or, today just "Spring") Creek in what is now Marshall County. 2) near where Weakley's Creek joins the North Fork in Bedford County. I have been helping collect data on these families and the records may be useful to other researchers, so I am posting them all to the list. If you are researching any of these families, and especially the branches of the families who moved on to MO in the 1820s and 1830s please post back to the list. The records I will post are a mixture of abstracts and transcriptions. Some spill over into parts of Williamson, Rutherford, Warren, and other counties that bordered Bedford at the times the deeds and surveys were made. Steve
