Shelbyville Gazette - July 10, 1930 - page 9 Ruth Catherine Gamble Mrs. G.N. Gamble Mrs. Ruth Catherine Gamble, 81, widow of G.N. Gambill, died at 8:20 o'clock Friday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J.C. Beamer, 4306 Nebraska avenue. Mrs. Gamble had been an invalid for approximately three and one half years, since she suffered a stroke of paralysis from which she never completely recovered. A native of Bedford conty, Tennessee, she became a resident of Nashville about 27 years ago, moving to this city from Petersburg, Tennessee. Her husband whose death occurred several years ago, for years conducted a stall at the city market. Prayer services were held at 10 o'clock Saturday morning at the home of the daughter and were conducted by Elder R.C. White following the services the body was taken to the Unity cemetery near Petersburg, where rites at the grave were in charge of Elder B.F. Hart. Besides Mrs. Beamer, Mrs. Gamble is survived by five other daughters, Mrs. Lizzie Goodman of New Mexico; Mr.s J.W. Westerbrooks of Muskokee, Okla; Mrs. F.A. Nelson, Mrs. J.H. Wrye, and Mrs. Beulah Kellow all of Nashville; two sons, J.T. Gambill of Nashville and W.J.
