Hi, I am looking for information on the Darnell's/Darnels. 1830 Census Bedford records show Jordan Darnell, b 1780 and brother Joel Darnell, b 1779. Joel's includes an older lady (I presume) either his mother or his wife's mother. Also in the 1830 Census, (Joel's, 1779), son Moses, b 1806. Are there any records, court, wills, etc that indicated who this older woman was? Or who their parents might be? Of where they came from or when they arrived in Bedford County? Did they own land or slaves? Is there a marriage record for Moses? 1840 Census Bedford shows Joel Darnell, b 1812 son of Joel, 1779 Are their marriage records to indicate who he married? 1840 Census of Marshall Co Moses, 1806 son of Joel. 1850 Marshall Co we find Joel, 1779 Moses, 1806 Jordan, 1808 Any information on any of these Darnell's/Darnall's greatly appreciated. The index I sent is the index to the ACTUAL Will Book 4 - located at the Bedford County Court Clerks office in Shelbyville TN (where you get your tags to the locals... under the bank). I have the index as well as the wills on micro film. I can send a condensed copy, or I can type it (although it may take a few days.... I have played all day today, but working 12 hour shifts for 5 days out of the next 7days and my time is short this week). My micro film viewer does not have a copier.... or an auto crank for that matter. Also, the screen is not as wide as the film... therefore I am unable to take pictures (like I can with some obits). Just let me know what you want. I do not do the County Court Clerks office.... I don't like the copier and it does not make good copies.

These will are at the County Court Clerks office in a book. If you are local I think they will do pages for .50 a page. If you don't mind a transcribed copy I have a roll of micro film with them on it. (cheapest way to buy). I don't have a copier on my micro film viewer and this roll is bigger than my screen so I can't take pictures of the pages; However I can type them and send them E mail. I read the G.
