Here is Frank Hix's obit. This is posted on the Bedford CO., TN site MR. FRANK HIX died at his home on flat Creek Pike, about five miles from Shelbyville, Wednesday last, aged 65 years. MR. HIX was the son of the late WILLIAM S. HIX, who died several years ago, and a brother of MESSRS. D. D. HIX, J. J. HIX, and WILL HIX. He leaves his wife and three children, CHARLES HIX, MRS. JAMES GAMBILL, and MRS. RUTLEDGE LOGAN. Buried in the HIX graveyard. Lorraine, in my information, I have Fannie Hix (1877-1966) m. James Marion Gammill (no dates) and her parents were Kate Parkes (1853-1921) m. Benjamin Franklin Hix. Back on April 6th I announced that we were setting up a web site for collaborative research on the family of John Theophilus Thompson. That site has been up and running for about a month now and there are 12 or so participants. I wanted to describe the data we are posting and offer anyone that wants to a chance to participate. It will take several more months to get a full set of information posted. 1. With the permission of the surviving author of the book John Theophilus Thompson, Some Ancestors and Descendants in Frederick County, Maryland, Orange County, North Carolina and Bedford County, Tennessee by Mary LeBrecht and Elizabeth Schack, we have posted the entire contents of the book as a set of PDF files. 2. We have created document libraries to hold census index data as well as digital images of the following classes of records: court records, deeds, second district surveys, tax lists, and census. 3.
