    2. Kathryn, You are so sweet to look these up for all of us. I am "on your end" on a couple of other list I belong to because I own all the research for this one specific county! so...I know all the work your doing. I really appreciate it. My problem with the Taylor's, Perry's and Tillman's are this...I know they resided in Bedford and close area counties...I know my "main ancestors"....it's the wife's that died that I have no concrete info on their specific names or their families. I'm trying to hit matches with similar family names and land deeds, probates that I've picked up along the way. How about these...if you have any of the following or close to the first names, I'd really appreciate it. Tillman's - Actually, if there's not alot...I'd like them. I know for a fact all the Tillman's in Bedford I'm kin to. I'm specifically looking for the women who married into the Tillman Family who died at young ages... Mary Perry Tillman? Clara Perry Tillman? Martha Perry Tillman ? Joshua Tillman Belitha (sp?) Perry ? Martha, Clara or Mary Taylor?? John Taylor ? I'm sorry I can't be more specific...whatever you can give me, I'll try to "match" them up. Thanks again! I appreciate it. Pam Tillman-Goff

    3. I need someone to look up information in Bedford CO TN. I had lighting to zap my old computer. I had information about Bird, Byrd and Coleman deeds, wills, selling land to family members 1800 to late 1800. I remember a mother Frances, a son maybe JMH and a sister Lucy. Mother and sister sold their land to JMH. Also mention Frances 2nd husband and Lucy's husband. Also there was information about deeds and Bird and Byrd and their first names. Also I recently meet a Linda Coleman whose family had land on Duck Creek early 1800's she thinks some of them had first names of David and other D names. Think she is a cousin of my mother they both resemble cousins at our family reunions. I can send a photo of them to anyone collecting photo of living family of Bedford Co families in the 1800s. 3. LDS RECORDS Hi While the LDS records do have some mistakes in them so do all records. They are only as good as the person recording them have you checked the mistakes in the census and birth and death records. My grandparents birth records have the birth counties switched I would check as much of the documented records as I could find for the correct last name. -----Original Message----- From: Beverly Peavler <bp@peavler.org> To: TNBEDFOR-L@rootsweb.com <TNBEDFOR-L@rootsweb.com> Date: Friday, February 22, 2002 6:52 AM Subject: [TNBEDFOR] LDS records >I have found many mistakes in LDS family genealogies, so if it were me, I >would tend to give the other source more credence. Don't get me wrong LDS is a great way to find others researching the same lines as yourself and very helpful. I use their Family Search site http://www.familysearch.org/ alot to find others researching similiar lines I also use the World Connect site http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/ at Rootsweb to find others researching the same lines. That I also use as a guide. The info there is from contributors and not actually from Primary Records...I feel its up the each researcher to check and verify the sources. I know I can see it in writing and even see the source given but I won't be sure until I see the actual records. I guess I'm a skeptic. 3. --=======3B4DC1B======= Content-Type: text/plain; x-avg-checked=avg-ok-4826795D; charset=us-ascii; format=flowed Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit According to the Marsh's Bedford Co. Cem. Book Patrick is listed as follows in the Old City Cem. as you said Patrick Fay Born Mar 10th 1814 in County Galway, Ireland. He emigrated in 1837 married in 1845 & Died Aug 25 1865. It also notes that near him with no markers are Ella Fay (died winter of 1908) and Julia Fay (died about 1910) I did not find Ann S. Fay listed in the Index of the same book among the Fay Listings She is listed however in another book Bedford Co. TN Vital Records and Wills from Newspapers(also by the Marshes) as having been witness to the will of Eliza M. Nelson M. T. Cannon also witnessed the will which was probated May of 1886 Then in the same book an article from the Shelbyville Gazette dated July 3 1890 Mrs. Ann S. Fay died last Tuesday of heart disease. She was the eldest dau. of the late Gen Robert Cannon and a niece of Ex-Gov. Connon(possibly should be Cannon) of TN. She is buried in Willow Mount at 4pm on Wed. Services by Rev. T. H. Hinson.
