    3. Kathryn, I think she's looking for the Mt. Herman Baptist Church which is between the two Mt. Herman Cemeteries. From the Nazarene Church, she will need to continue on Mt. Herman Road another 2 or 3 miles and turn left on New Hermon Road. Go a very short distance and she will find the Baptist Church. The old cemetery is behind the church and the new cemetery is just ahead. If she will contact me at lac47@bellsouth.net and let me know where she is going to be coming from, I may be able to give her an easier way. 1. Re: [TNBEDFOR] Re:Thomas Drake Rev. Sol. burial?
    2. Kathryn Hopkins
    3. Sue, I checked both the Bedford and Marshall County Cemetery books. There are several DRAKE listings, but not for your Thomas. The "Soldiers of the Revolution in Bedford County, TN" book by the Marshes, lists your Thomas Drake as having died on 13 Aug 1834 in Bedford County, but states the burial place as "unknown". Kittrell is a town, as well as a Cemetery, in Rutherford County, so you might try their list for more help. There is also a Kittrell Cemetery in Maury, Lewis, and Perry Counties in Tennessee. Good luck, Kathryn <snip> tell us where Thomas Drake Sr. Rev. Sol of Bedford and coffee Co. was buried. I have a note that mentions Kittrell. <snip> __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo! Sports - Coverage of the 2002 Olympic Games http://sports.yahoo.com

    3. Hi Jennie, I don't remember if anyone answered your question so I will give it a try. I have looked in the Marsh's Land Deed book, and while the PATTON and ERWIN names appear in the earlist records, BLANTON doesn't appear until the early 1830s. I read through the listings around the date you have mentioned, but I did not see it in the book. It doesn't mean it didn't exist, I just couldn't find it in this book. Perhaps someone else on the list can assist you further. Kind regards, Kathryn <snip> I have the following information in my file, but don't find the reference for it. "On 6 March 1816 William BLANTON purchased 170 acres on Duck River in Bedford County.
