Rex, Hey thanks for the lookup, and i may have mis-read the 1840 entry for Elisha and it was Isham instead. However, would you please check GEORGIA as I have an 1880 entry that says his mother was born Georgia so I now wonder if his daddy was there? He was Elisha jr. and daddy was the Sr. I'm looking for. I did check for your family name and found nothing for 1740 VA. but there is one listing in 1760 Va. for John Abston in Bedford co. Va. now that's all it lists other than where the name was found; it gives the source as Bedford Va. Deed book 1, 1754-1762 found on reel 1 at the LVA (Library of Va.) Pages 250 and 267. This book was compiled by TLC Genealogy Books. I am looking for information on a Alice P. HACKETT that was born in Tennessee around 1870. Her parents are believe to be John and Agnes HACKETT. John was born in Illinios or Indiana. She is believe to have married Hiram Newton "Newt" FORD in around 1903 in either Missouri or Kansas Newt's parents were James W. and Jermina "Beckie" (TODD) Ford who came from the Cannon County Tennessee area. James W FORD family moved around alot he was looking for work. They lived in the Middle and Southern parts of Tennessee, before moving to and settling in the Lafayette, Carroll and Saline Counties in Missouri, (east of Kansas City on the Missouri River). They had two sons Henry Lloyd (bn. 1905 in Kansas) and George Newton (bn. 1907 in Missouri). Hiram died around 1927. She married a Robert YOUNG first at one point a man who's last name was MILLER too. I wondered if she might have a connect to the Hacketts that you have been talking about? Any information would be appreciated. Spelling of names may vary. Thanks in advance. Jackie --- [This E-mail scanned for viruses at TNWEB LLC]

Their descendants were in Palmetto, TN in the late 1800's. I believe that in the following query I composed from family tree data and published books, that Marshall County, TN should on occasion be Bedford County, TN. Any help you can offer will be so greatly appreciated. My ggggrandmother Elizabeth (FLEMING) MOUNT is reported to be buried in Palmetto Cemetery. She and her husband Andrew Jackson MOUNT were married 12/8/1846 in Marshall County, TN. Andrew Jackson's parents are William MOUNT and Lucy LAWRENCE NOBLIN who married 9/17/1806. The daughter of Elizabeth and Andrew Jackson MOUNT, Mary J MOUNT, married John Bailey CLEEK 12/17/1874. John Bailey's parents are William J CLEEK and Elgeda Elisabeth JONES who married in Marshall County 11/8/1852. William J and Elgeda Elisabeth died in Marshall County with Elgeda Elisabeth reported buried in Lewisburg. William's parents are Ezekial and Cynthia (HARRIS) CLEEK. Ezekial died in Marshall County. It is the grandparents of Ezekiel (Michael CLEEK and Ezekial REYNOLDS that I located on th 1820 Bedford County, TN census.) I plan to visit Bedford and Marshall Counties in August 2002 and would appreciate any help to locate gravesites and record centers that will offer copies of marriage licenses and such. I will be visiting the San Francisco archives next week to obtain more census copies ... an ongoing project ... I have several other possible locations for additional census data records but always appreciate receiving more info. Thank you.

Hi List, This is my first post to this list. Am looking forward to chatting with all of you. Also, hoping i might find some help. Does anyone know anything about the Hatchett cemetary in Bedford, where i might find who is buried in it. I am particularly interested in a Nathan C. Hattchett that married Margaret Hitson in Bedford on November 28, 1877. They are on the 1900 bedford co. census, with Margarets Dad, Berry Hitson living with them, He is who im most interested in. Would like to find out when he died as well as Margaret and if they might possibly be in that cemetary. I have looked in the Tennesee State library and archives and cant find them there for death dates. Any suggestions or comments welcome and appreciated. Thanks, Christy Rice
