    3. Do you have anything for Alex Speier, S.P.Vess or Lewis Willis Wilhoite? Thanks for your kind Offer. Speier would be around 1870 at Wartrace; Wilhoite would be on Flat Creek or sometimes I have heard Goose Creek. Vess was a saddler so I would think that he didn't own property, I would like to check. 1. [TNBEDFOR] Prosser / Chestnut Ridge Cousins Reunion
    2. Prosser Genealogy - Comcast
    3. List Members: There is a planned reunion of The Prosser / Chestnut Ridge Cousins on the dates of Friday, October 4th and Saturday October 5th. The original Prosser family settled in the area in the early 1800s. The Chestnut Ridge area is an area where Bedford, Lincoln, Moore, and Marshall Counties all come together. There are many early families that were connected to this family, among them are: Richardson, Johnston, Bagley, Sullivan, Pruitt, Burns, Creson, Hess, Davidson, Leftwich, Gowan, Redd, Brents, Broadway, Darnall, Pigg, Epps, Wright, McNatt, Rose, Warren, Martin, and many, many more. Our plans are to meet in Shelbyville on Friday, October 4th, 2:30 PM, at the home of Polly Prosser Dodson. There will be a catered barbeque meal from a Lynchburg catering service for this session and the cost will be approximately $10.00 each. On that evening we will come together to get acquainted. The Saturday session will start at 9:30 AM and will be held at The Hickory Hill Church on top of the! ridge. The people from the area will bring a dish and the people that are traveling will need to bring deli foods. There is one speaker lined up (Dick Poplin) and we will work on securing another speaker. I would encourage everyone to bring all the material that they have put together from their research and we may exchange information. There will be a $2.00 fee per couple to pay the cleaners and etc. We will discuss forming a Chestnut Ridge Cousins Family History Organization while we are together if there is enough interest. For those traveling outside the area there is a block of rooms that have been reserved at The Country Hearth Inn in Shelbyville. You will need to make your reservations with the inn by August 3rd. Please inform others of this event and we look forward to seeing you on these dates. Please contact: Bobby Prosser, prossergenealogy@comcast.net; or Donna Prosser, DProsser@attbi.com; or Polly Prosser Dodson, pdodson2@earthlink.net

    3. Hello Linda: No As far as I know right now I do not. However I do have a Coop family connected to my Pattersons. I will have to go back and check for his name but will check and let you know. The one name I can remember was at a child we would have Patterson reunions at Mother's homeplace just off Cobb Hollow Road in Moore County. There was a man there named "Duke" Coop. He meant no one any harm but was born with a child mind. The one thing you did not do in front of him was to spank a child. He would get fighting mad. He died living in the house with his brother and his brother had been dead for some time when someone went to check on them and he told them "little brother is dead". Sure enough he was. Then he was sent to a nursing home, I think. Will look up his father and mother's name and let you know. I just looked hurriedly and did not see what his parent's name was but will delve deeper and see what I come up with. Thank you. 1. [TNBEDFOR] REMINDER: Replying to List Messages originating from Bedford County Message Boards
    2. Kathryn Hopkins
    3. Dear List Members, There have been several posts to our list recently that came fromthe Rootsweb Bedford County, TN message boards. It is great that list member are responding/replying to these messages, but since the response has just been posted to the list (and not a reply on the board), there is the chance that the original poster did NOT see the reply because they may not be subscribed to the TNBEDFOR mailing list. So, I just wanted to send out a reminder about posts to our list that come from the Rootsweb Boards. Here's how it works: Someone goes the Rootsweb Board for Bedford County, TN. They post a query relating to Bedford County (queries, wills, obits, bible record, etc.). That post will AUTOMATICALLY be forwarded to the TNBEDFOR Mailing List. Now, if your reply to this query is back to the TNBEDFOR Mailing List, it will only show up on the this list, and not on the Bedford County, TN Rootsweb Message Board. Keep in mind that the original poster of the message on Rootsweb may not be subscribed to this list so they may not see your response. Here's a suggestion: Look at the first few lines of the body text of each email on the Mailing List. If one says, for example... Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/IhB.2ACI/284 Message Board Post: ...it was forwarded from the Bedford County, TN Rootsweb Board, and did not originate from the TNBEDFOR mailing list. What this means to those of us that are subscribed to this mailing list, is that when replying, we should select the clickable URL link (it should be in a different color in your email browser, and should be underlined), which will take us to the appropriate Bedford County message. Then, we should post our reply THERE! That way, the reply will show up on the Rootsweb message board - AND be forwarded to the TNBEDFOR-L mailing list AUTOMATICALLY. Rootsweb Message Boards homepage: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec?htx=main&r=rw Bedford County, TN message board: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec?htx=board&r=rw&p=localities.northam.usa.states.tennessee.counties.bedford Use the link above and the "TYPE" list. The types of messages are: All (shows all messages) Query Bible Biography Birth Cemetery Census Death Deed Immigration Lookup Marriage Military Obituary Pension Will If you have any questions, please let me know.
