    3. Where do you find these passports. I have reason to suspect my Andrew Hamil was in Bedford in the late 1700s. He may possibly have some Indian ancestry. He would have been born between 1775 and 1794. Descendants said Tennessee on their 1880 census. 1. Re: [TNBEDFOR] Beachboard's in Bedford County?
    2. Although is is possible there was a Beachboard living in the area that became Bedford County in the late 1700's, I think it seems very unlikely. At that time it was Indian Territory or a Military Reservation (don't remember exact name) and had not been settled or "civilized." Later, there were certainly a number of Beachboards in the Bell Buckle area and a Zachary Taylor Beachboard was listed in Goodspeed as being on the town council ca 1885. Jesse Lynn

Nathan FRIZZEL and his family were listed on the 1850 census of Bedford Co TN -- wife's name was Luana, age 26. Four of the children at the time of the 1860 census are the same names as on the 1850 census. Other sources say a Nathan FRIZZELL with a wife named Anna Nancy HOPPER had the same four named children. Can someone clarify these things and help me sort out the differences. Any help will be appreciated. Karen Venable kvenable@pe.net
