Williams b 1849; Susan Katherine Williams b 1851 m Sydney Wilson; Isaac Williams b 1852 Tennie Davis; Nancy Williams b. 1854 m. Rufus M. Allen; Delilah Williams b 1857 m. David D. Womack; Thomas C. I am looking for information on Matilda WYNINGER (born 1855) who married Ed FLETCHER (born 1853) in Bedford County I guess about 1872. Also looking for anything on A.J. ANDERSON and his wife Eliza. Hi Sandra, Sophia Stephenson was Sophia Harber (Houber). The Harbers (Jacob was the head of the family) came to Dist. 18 of Bedford about 1810. Jacob died in 1814. They were from the Barnwell District of SC. Most of the Harber family lived in the portion of Bedford Dist. 18 that became part of Dist 7 of Marshall Co. when Marshall was formed in 1832. So you might look at this district as well to determine those who might have come from SC or GA about 1810. This is what I call desperate! Please see if you recognize any of the names below. In an attempt to identify ANYONE who may have traveled with my JORDAN family from GA to TN about 1810ish, I have searched through the 1850 Bedford Co, TN, census looking for individuals who were born in SC or GA in the early 1800s. So far, I've only searched Dist 18, which is where my JORDANs settled, however, I intend to search the entire census. I want to emphasize that the film was difficult to read and some of this transcription my be inaccurate. Also, I discovered later that the page numbers recorded from my FTM CD do not coincide with the actual census page numbers. In addition, I have inserted a space between individuals who are not of the same household but on the same page. If you recognize anyone, please tell me when they came to TN, if possible. Also, please let me know if you think I may have a name recorded inaccurately. Thank you for your help. Bedford County TN. List Members: On October 5th, there was an organization formed to promote the genealogical research, and to study the family history of the Chestnut Ridge area. Many of us have ancestors that settled on "The Ridge" and there are many link surnames. The Chestnut Ridge area is located where four Southern Middle Tennessee counties all come together. These counties are Bedford, Lincoln, Marshall, Moore. We would encourage you to visit the web site at: http://chestnutridgecousins.org We would also like to announce that there is a rootsweb list that is active for the promotion of research of the Chestnut Ridge Cousins. In no way is this list competitive with other list. It is there for identifying with the Chestnut Ridge Cousins. We would welcome you there. You may subscribe to that list at: TN-CHESTNUTRIDGECOUSINS-L-request@rootsweb.com Bobby Prosser prossergenealogy@comcast.net

Could someone look up the BYRN/BYRNS family in the new Bedford Co. History book? Charles L. BYRN moved from Davidson Co. to Bedford Co. sometime between 1840 to 1850. He first appears in the Bedford Co. census in 1850. Also in the 1850 cenus is Oscar W. S. BYRNS (sic in the census) with his wife Catherine and their children, Mary, Frances, Charles. Oscar W. S. BYRNS is the son of Charles L. BYRN Does anyone have any information about this BYRN family? Thank you much, Ann
