    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Mobley, Mobly, Moberley, Moseley Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/IhB.2ACI/336.1 Message Board Post: Hi Roberta, I have looked through the indexes for various Bedford County resources (land deeds, wills, bible records, cemetery records, etc.) and do not find any entries for Mobley (or similar spellings) until the 1850s - then it is for an O. H. Mobley. I also checked the Bedford County tax records for 1812 and 1836 with no luck. The closest surname that is in Bedford County is MOSELEY - but even with that, a first glance does not reveal an "Isiah". For 1810, I do not find any listings in TN for Mobley or Moberly. For 1820 Bedford County Census, there are no listings for "Mobley", only "MOSELEY, Caleb" and "MOSELY, James". I did find the following listings: Mobley, Edward, Davidson County, TN Mobly, Allen, Lincoln County, TN Mobley, Susan, Maury County, TN For 1830 Census, I don't find any "Mobley" listings in Bedford County, but did find: Mobly, Rachel, Sullivan County, TN Mobley, Allen, Stewart County, TN Mobley, Archibald, Sevier County, TN Mobly, Edward, Maury County, TN Mobley, Edward, Davidson County, TN Mobly, Robert, Lincoln County, TN Mobly, Zachariah, Giles County, TN Mobly, Jane, Giles County, TN Mobly, Ransone, Giles County, TN Moberley, Rebecca, Jefferson County, TN Good luck with your continued search, Kathryn

Surnames: Mobley Moberly Mobly Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/IhB.2ACI/336 Message Board Post: If anyone has access to early Bedford County Tax Lists, published, or otherwise, please search for persons bearing the surname Mobley (variant spellings: Moberly, Mobly, etc.). I believe that Isaiah (Isiah) Mobley arrived in Bedford Co., after 1804. He was apparently accompanied (or followed) by one, or more of his siblings and cousins. I would like to find out which Mobleys were in Bedford Co. (and in Lincoln Co. also), particularly around 1810, as there are no census records, but I am interested in the whole period from 1804 to 1830. Thanks! Roberta

    2. Hi, I've had a couple of people asking about Anderson's. I found this at the archives in an estate settlement. Naturally I copied ALL but the date <sigh> .
