    3. Hi Peggy, There are only 2 people listed for the O'Neal Cemetery, which is about 2 miles west of Bedford, on Sinking Creek in Bedford County. Cemetery Records of Bedford County, Tennessee, Revised 1985 Compiled by Helen C. & Timothy R. Marsh Published: Southern Historical Press, Inc. 1986 Page 169 J.M. O'Neal Sep 16, 1816 Jul 28, 1898 and Elizabeth O'Neal Mar 11, 1835 Jul 28, 1923 There are other O'Neal burials in the cemetery book so let me know if you something further. There is not another O'Neal Cemetery listed. 1. Re: [TNBEDFOR] counties
    2. I am a native of Bedford Co and have been living in Williamson Co for thirty-five years. Each county has a Flat Creek. I think a very narrow area at the NW corner of Bedford County was once in Williamson County, but there is nothing in the state boundary changes that substantiates that. I believe it is true because there are early wills in Williamson Co for some people who are thought to have settled in Bedford Co and always lived there. Lamb is one name I think of. Bedford County is generally said to have been taken in its entirety from Rutherford county. Carolyn In a message dated 1/29/03 10:24:11 AM, WayneAL1@aol.com writes: << I have read discussions on this list that there are two Flat Creeks. One in the north area but not in Bedford County and one associated with a stream called Flat Creek in the southeast side of Bedford County where many of my ancestors resided. I also understand the (north) Flat Creek is in Williamson County. Since I believe Bedford County was formed from parts of Williamson County then I don't know how the (north) Flat Creek could ever have been in Bedford County. Maybe someone else can tell you which Flat Creek the Rosebank Cemetery is associated with. Wayne Austin

    1. [TNBEDFOR] Lady called Haskey
    2. Listers, Do you know or have ever run across a lady with the unusual given name of Haskey? I need to prove her maiden name and some of her marriages. Haskey and her children left Bedford County for Pope County, Arkansas before 1850. Her unproven maiden name is MADDOX. In Bedford County, she was married to William STEWART and an unproven McDANIEL and a NOBBLETT. She arrived In Arkansas as a NOBBLETT but then married (proven) a CRAIN and TALBOTT. My wife descends from her STEWART marriage. Thanks for ANY leads! Ron Adams Neighbor to Historical Fort Atkinson that overlooks the Missouri River Valley
