    3. Kris, I have the information of both Samuel Crowell and Alice Claxton, and the Crowell's back to Samuel in 1786, and the Claxton's back to James Anderson, Jr. in 1798, but I do not have any information on Samuel and Alice's 12 children except for their full names. I would be most appreciative for any information that you would be willing to share with me, and I would do the same. My Mother was Macon Louise Claxton from the Abraham Claxton line. 2. To Fern ([email protected]) There are lots of McXXXXs (McBride, McClain, McConnell, McCord, McCrory, McDaugh, McDonald, McFadden, McFarlin, McGee/McGhee, McGill, McGrew, McKellar, McLean, McMahan, McNatt, and Mcqueary), but surprisingly no MCNEAL (any spellings). Any chance they dropped the "Mc"? There are NEAL, NEIL, NEILL families in the book. 2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/IhB.2ACI/589.1 Message Board Post: I am aware of a Jane Pruitt who indicates she was born in Tennesse about 1798. Do not know her maiden name. She may have been Cherokee. Married Josiah Joel Pruitt, b:Tenn abt 1798. Josiah died about 1860 and the family had moved to Arkansas by 1860 as Jane is on the census. Jane and some of her children were still living in Arkansas, Yell Co., in 1870 the last record I have seen.
