Deborah Claxton, I live in Shelbyville (Bedford County, TN) and your recent inquiries have caught my interest because of the Claxton and Sanders names. My great grandfather was Josuah Calvin Claxton b.1831, d. 1909, and he had a sister Elizabeth Claxton b. 1825, d.1887. Their parents were James Claxton b. 1797, d. 1871 and Temperance Rackley b. 1804, d. 1877. Elizabeth Claxton married Stephen S. Sanders b. 1825, d. 1910. I have some other Claxton information, and if you think there is a connection with your Claxton's, I will share it with you. I would enjoy an e-mail from you.
