Clinton Courier May 25, 1972 Annie Baker Dies Tuesday At Oak Ridge Mrs. William C. (Annie) Baker, 87, of Marshall St. in Clinton, mother of Mrs. Gomer D. Hoskins Anderson County director of accounts and budgets, died at Oak Ridge Hospital. She had been a resident of Westmall Nursing Home and was admitted to the hospital about 10 a.m. Tuesday with pneumonia. She was the former Anna Mae Clontz of Alexander, N.C. She was the widow of William C. Baker who died in 1966. She was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church in Clinton, a past matron of Clinton Chapter 193, Order of Eastern Star, and past Noble Grand of Rebecca Lodge 52. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Hoskins of Marshall St., Clinton and Mrs. Claude C. Pickrell of Clearwater, Fla., one sister, Mrs. R.S. Morris of Asheville, N.C., six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Services were set for 3 p.m. Thursday (today0at St. Mark's United Methodist Church. The Rev. Larry Best officiate and burial will be in Sunset Cemetery.
