Clinton Courier March 14, 1985 Father Of Clinton Man Dies At 73 The father of a Clinton man,Brassfield McGhee, 73, of Cherry Bottom community, Caryville Rt.1, died Tuesday night at St. Mary's Medical Center in Knoxville. McGhee was the father of Gene McGhee. A former coal miner, McGhee was a member of the Ivy Grove Baptist Church. He was a veteran of World War II. McGhee also is survived by his wife, Mrs. Marie Roberson McGhee, two other sons, Terry McGhee of Cherry Bottom and Ronnie McGhee of Ft. Myers, Fla., two daughters, Mrs. Florence M. Hill of Jacksboro and Brenda Kay Hart of Dalton, Ga., eight grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. Rosie Marlow of Jacksboro, Mrs. Norene Davis and Mrs. Ora Humphery, both of Knoxville, two brothers, Walter Bunch of New Market and Ed Bunch of Knoxville, a stepsister and two stepbrothers.Funeral arrangements were incomplete. Cox Funeral Home of Lake City was in charge.
