While we are focusing on the Foust families of Anderson Co, TN I have a question. I have Mary Ann Foust b Aug 20, 1823 Anderson Co, TN d Mar 18, 1915 Anderson Co, TN & m Mar 08, 1888 Knox Co, TN to Eli Sartin b Abt. 1807 SC & d Bet. 1888 - 1890. I have her listed as a dau of Daniel Foust & Nancy Epperson, my assumption no documented proof. Her Death Certificate depicts her father was Christopher Foust. If this is true which Christopher Foust? Daniel Foust & Nancy Epperson's son Christopher Columbus Foust was born May 09, 1817. Daniel's son Christopher couldn't be Mary Ann Foust born Aug 20, 1823 father? I don't have another Christopher Foust to fit the time line? Does anyone else? I have questioned the following records many times? Tennessee Tidbits 1778-1914 Volume III, by Marjorie Hood Fischer & Ruth Blake Burns Foust, Mary (Faust) Money was to be paid to Daniel Foust for the support of Mary Foust, 10 July 1826. (And TN, Co Ct Min, 4/20) Tennessee Tidbits 1778-1914 Volume III, by Marjorie Hood Fischer & Ruth Blake Burns Fouse, Nancy 9 July 1827 money was ordered to be paid to Nancy Fouse for the support of Mary Fouse. (And TN, Co Ct Min, 4/100) I do not understand the two records listed above??? Could this maybe be another Daniel & Nancy Foust? Don't have one to fit the time line. "1st Record" depicts Daniel Foust was paid money for support of Mary Foust? Mary Ann Foust born August 20, 1823 was supposedly his daughter, so why would the court pay him for her care??? "2nd Record" Nancy Fouse was paid for the support of Mary Fouse? Nancy Foust was the wife of Daniel Foust & supposedly the mother of Mary Ann Foust??? Does anyone have any information to support Mary Ann Foust being the dau of Daniel Foust & Nancy Epperson?
