Clinton Courier Oct. 16, 1980 Coal Miner, World War Veteran Dies Tinsley Taylor, 59, of Spring Street, Clinton, died Tuesday morning at his home. Taylor was a veteran of World War II and a coal miner. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Myrtle Taylor of Clinton, three daughters, Doris Taylor of Clinton, Mrs. Glenda York of Wartburg and Mrs. Frankie Robinson of Athens, four sons, Jerry Taylor and Ellis Taylor both of Oliver Springs, John Taylor of Indiana and Leonard Taylor of Sunbright, step-mother, Mrs. Dallas Taylor of Clinton, two sisters, Georgia Thomason of Clinton and Mrs. Linda Lowe of Coalfield, three brothers, Delis Taylor, Robert Shelley and Harold Shelley, all of Oliver Springs, and 10 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Holley Gamble Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Bedford Bullock officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday(tonight).
