Clinton Gazette Oct. 25, 1899 Mrs. McKamey Died Last Saturday At Dossett Station On last Saturday morning, at 9:00 o'clock, on the old farm home place near Dossett Station Mrs. Margaret McKamey died after a lingering illness. She was the widow of Mr. John A. McKamey who died nineteen years ago, and who during his lifetime was a prominent citizen and prosperous farmer of Anderson county. Mrs. McKamey had been sick for several weeks, suffering more from the effects of old age, she being 76 years old. She was the mother of six children, five whom survive her, Mr. W. S. McKamey is connected with the bank at this place and Mr. J. A. McKamey is a farmer living in the lower end of the county, as also is Mr. S.B. McKamey, a farmer living on the old home place, Mrs. Sallie Kincaid wife of Mr. Wm. Kinciad, deceased, has been living with her mother, Mrs. J. W. Garner is another daughter living she residing in the lower end of the county. The remains were interred by the side of her husband in the family burial ground, near the residence, Sunday morning, Revs. S.H. Johnson and J.G. Hall officiating.
