He was originally from Loyston, TN and moved with his family to Anderson County in 1934 where he retired from farming in 1990. He was the son of the late Charlie and Louisa Spangler Stooksbury. Preceded in death by his wife of 47 years; Estelene Stooksbury; sisters, Edna Hicks and Marjorie Price; brothers, Jess, Taylor, and Paul Stooksbury.
