Clinton Courier Dec.2, 1954 Elmer Vernon Lindsay Elmer Vernon Lindsay, 30, of Lake City Rt.2, died Sunday morning at Doctor's Hospital in Lafollette. Lindsay a World War II veteran, is survived by his wife, Mary Eleanor Phillips Lindsay, one son, Vernon Lee Lindsay, father, Walter Lindsay step-mother, Bertha Lindsay, all of Lake City Rt.2., one brother, Bedford Lindsay of Toledo, Ohio, sister, Mrs. Ruby Warwick of Michigan, half-brother, Raymond Lindsay, Knoxville, half-sister, Mrs. Irene McCartt, Cleveland, Ohio. Services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Pine Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. D.W. Lindsay officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery with Lodge No. 3164 in charge at the grave. Martins of Lake City was in charge.
