Clinton Courier June 30, 1983 Moore, 87, Ex-Road Worker Dies A former Anderson County road department worker, Charles Taylor Moore, 87, died Wednesday morning at Anderson County Health Care Center in Clinton. Moore retired from the road department in 1958. He was the son of the late Samuel and Adana Duncan Moore. Moore, a native of Granite Rd., Clinton Rt.2 area was a Baptist. He enjoyed yard and garden work. He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Ruby Moore Braden of Clinton Rt.2. and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are to be held at 8:30 p.m Tnhursday (today) at Holley Gamble chapel with the Rev. Delbert Payne officiating after the family receives friends at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Sunset Cemetery at 10:30 a.m Friday.
