Clinton Courier May 25, 1976 J. B. Wallace Former County Resident Dies A former Anderson County resident, John B. Wallace, died Sunday in Gary, Ind., where he had lived a number of years. Death came on his 75th birthday. Wallace retired in 1962 after 42 years with U.S. Steel in Gary, Ind.. He and his wife, the former Viola Massengill, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Nov. 9, 1969. Services and burial was Wednesday in Gary. He leaves his wife, two sons, John B. Wallace Jr of Chicago, and Paul G. Wallace of Gary, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Clifford Seeber of Knoxville, and a brother, Sam B. Wallace of Royal Oak, Mich.
