Clinton Courier July 2, 1981 Member Of Laurel Grove Dies A member of Laurel Grove Baptist Church near Briceville, Mrs. Nancy J. Patterson 71, of State Highway 116, Briceville, died at 3 a.m. Sunday at St. Mary's Medical Center in Knoxville. She had been in the hospital nearly three weeks. A native of Laurel Grove area, Mrs. Patterson enjoyed gardening. She is survived by her husband, Jonas Patterson, a brother, Tom Patterson of Briceville, and four sisters, Mrs. Mattie Sweat of Lake City, Mrs. Kansas Phillips and Mrs. Oma Phillips of Oliver Springs, and Mrs. Elsie Huckaby of Clinton. Funeral services were held Tuesday at Laurel Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Edwin Phillips and the Rev. R. C. Seiber officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
