Clinton Courier Dec.2, 1954 Mrs. Rosa Lay Mrs. Rosa Lay, 80, died Friday at 7 p.m. at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lee Stooksbury of Clinton Rt.1. Survivors are two sons, Mose of Logan, W. Va., an Thomas Lay of Evart, Ky., daughter, Mrs. Stooksbury, sisters, Susan Cooper of Cincinnati, Kizzy Claxton of Knoxville, Betty Roe of Lafayette, 25 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren. Services were held at Bethel Baptist Church at 2:30 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. A.H. Gordon officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery with Holley's of Clinton in charge.
