Clinton Courier July 1955 Henry Witt Dies At 56 Rites Held Henry Witt, 56, of Andersonville, an employe of the Knoxville City Service Department since 1946, died Monday apparently of a heart attack, while on the way to work. Police said Mr. Witt's car struck an embankment near Mineral Springs Road. There were no marks on the body to indicate the wreck caused any injuries. Mr. Witt, a carpenter on a bridge repair crew, was dead on arrival at St. Mary's Hospital. Funeral services were held Wednesday at Valley Grove Baptist Church. The Rev. Malcolm Patterson conducted the service and burial was in New Loyston Cemetery. Survivors are his wife, Gertie, daughter, Mrs. Trula Hutcheson, Mary Lou Witt, son, Mack, all of Andersonville Rt.2, brothers, John, Fountain City, Rone, Andersonville, Andy, Fountain City, and Bob Witt, Knoxville.
