He was born in Anderson County on June 28, 1915, the son of George and Carlettie Duncan Mullins. Mr Mullins was a member of Union Valley Baptist Church and served the church as a deacon for 48 years. He enjoyed gardening and also hunting ginseng on Windrock Mountain, his family said. Mr. Mullins is survived by his wife; Gladys Freels Mullins; a daughter, Allene Ragle and her husband, Clyde E Ragle, of Knoxville; and two sisters, Louvernie Tinker of Coalfield and Goldie Hembree of the Stevens community of Morgan County. He is also survived by two granddaughters; Angela Robbins and Denise Kriss; three grandsons, Allen Ragle, Douglas Johnson and Gregory Francis; 10 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
