Her husband; James Phillips, died March 2, 1997. A son; Terry Phillips; and a son-in-law, Don Langley, also died earlier. Mrs Phillips is survived by five daughters; Sally Langley of Green Cove Springs, FL, Ina Lue Gonzales of Chicago, IL, Dolly Lambert of Iuka, MS, Alice Ferguson and her husband, Harvey of Oliver Springs, and Christine Carroll and her husband, Richard of Woodstock, GA; and five sons, Sam Junior Phillips and his wife, Shirley of the Dutch Valley community, Charles Phillips and his wife, Barbara, and James Phillips and his wife, Merlene, all of Oliver Springs, Oscar Phillips and his wife, Ivory, of Halleyville, AL, and Robert Phillips and his wife, Kathy, of Woodstock. She is also survived by two sisters and a brother; Dallas Burgess of Clinton, Ophia Arnold of Indiana, and James Price of Petros; and by 65 grandchildren; 75 great grandchildren; and 45 great great grandchildren. The funeral will be held at 2 PM Thursday, March 20, in the chapel of Sharp Funeral Home in Oliver Springs with the Rev Genis Hawkins officiating. Burial will follow at Petros Cemetery.
