Mrs Weaver was born in Clinton and graduated from Clinton High School. She taught for several years in Rockwood and the Anderson County School system and has been an active member of the First Baptist in Clinton since her marriage. She was a member of the church choir for a number of years and was active in the Women's Missionary Union. Survivors are one son; Capt James Weaver of Albuquerque, NM; two daughters, Mrs Walter Weigand of Cincinnati, and Mrs Jack Portwood of Lake City; sister, Mrs H G Amerine Sr of Clinton; brother, Bruce Stokes of Knoxville; and eight grandchildren. Services were to be held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 PM at the First Baptist Church with the Rev Paul Turner officiating. Burial will be in sunset Cemetery with Holley's of Clinton in charge.
