Clinton Courier Nov. 26, 1953 Ernest Phillips Ernest Phillips, 39, died suddenly Monday at 2:15 p.m while at work. He was a veteran of World War II. Survivors are his wife, Elise, two daughters, Ravenna and Mel Dean, one son. J.B., father ,Goldie Phillips all of Fork Mountain, two sisters, Mrs. Viola Aslinger of Briceville, Mrs. Lillie Lowe of Winchester,Ind., four brothers, Clarence, Lake City, Charles, Lonzo of Highsplint,Ky. Mitchell of Ohio.Services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m at the home with the Rev. Edd Roysden officiating. Burial will be in Phillip's Cemetery with military honors. Cox Funeral Home of Lake City is in charge.
