Clinton Courier March 26, 1964 Mrs. Martin Dies Friday At Her Home Mrs. Clara Matlock Martin, 73, died Friday at her home on Clinton Rt.4, after a lingering illness. She was a member of Zion Baptist Church. Mrs. Martin is survived by two sons, Cleo and R.L. Martin of Clinton, two daughters, Mrs. George Powell of Oakdale and Mrs. Arthur Powell of Clinton, one sister, Mrs. Nettie Franklin of Clinton, 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. Edgar West and the Rev. Aud Cox officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
