(Mattie) McClelland, daughter of William McClelland and Margaret Lones. Her husband Joseph Black Cross was the son of Alfred Cross and Elizabeth (Bettie) Black, and the grandson of Brittain Cross and Mary (Polly) Parks, and the grandson of Joseph Black Jr. and Ruby Catherine (Catherine) Henry. Joseph Black Cross may have been "real sick" at the time of his wife's death, but he did live nearly 12 more years. He died on 5 Dec 1914. I cannot find Mrs. Cross nor her husband in Mary Harris's cemetery index. Does anybody know which Baptist church in Dossett would have been the church where she was buried? Remember that this was in 1902. Assuming that Joseph Black Cross was buried in the same cemetery, it should be possible to figure it out from his death certificate (death certificate #256), but I haven't chased it down yet.
