Clinton Courier Aug. 24, 1978 Lake City Ex-Miner Dies At 75 Marion Lewis Taylor, 75, of Walden St., Lake City, died at 11:20 p.m. Friday at Lake City Hospital of diabetes complications. A retired coal miner, he worked in Beech Grove and several Kentucky mines. He was a member of Briceville Church of God and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Taylor a native of Lake City area. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Sylvia Vandergriff Taylor, a son, Clyde Taylor of Powell, a daughter, Miss. Helen Taylor of Lake City and a grandchild. Funeral services were held Monday at the Martin Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. V.H. Shears officiating. Burial was in Leach Cemetery.
