Clinton Courier March 3, 1977 Homemaker Of Clinton Dies At 92 Mrs. Tilda Mary Taylor, 92, of Taylor Rd., Marlow community, Clinton Rt.5, died at her home at 2:10 a.m. last Thursday. A homemaker for many years, she was the wife of the late Hugh Miller Taylor, an employe of Hercules Powder Co. of Marlow. She was a native of Anderson County and the daughter of the late Lindsey White and Hilley Sweet Brock. She was a member of Poplar Creek Baptist Church, and enjoyed raising flowers, gardening, making quilts and sewing. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Maxie McDonald of Clinton, s son, Maynard Brock Taylor of Clinton, two stepdaughters, Mrs. Edith Smith of Rutledge and Mrs. Ruth Smith of Alton, Ill.,, a stepson, Earl Taylor of Marlow, nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and eight- great-great-grandchldren. Funeral services were held Sunday at Poplar Creek Church with the Rev. Jack Hyde Officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
