Judson Calvin (J C)3 Weaver (Calvin M2, William1) was born September 24, 1864 in TN, and died May 08, 1949 in Lake City, Anderson Co, TN. He married Josephine E (Josie) Reece February 27, 1897 in Anderson Co, TN. Notes for Judson Calvin (J C) Weaver: Clinton Courier - May 12, 1949 "Judge" J C Weaver, father of former tax assessor D A Weaver and Lake City's widely known business and political figure, died Sunday at the age of 85. He had served as mayor and city councilman in Lake City and Justice of the Peace, and was once a member of the County School Board. He was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason and was director of the First National Bank, former director of the First State Bank of Jacksboro, and a member of the First Baptist Church at Lake City. It is believed "Judge" Weaver once owned about half of the area now covered by Lake City. He was born Oct 24, 1864 in Knox County. He moved to Campbell County and from there to Anderson County as a boy. He married the former Josie Weaver of Georgia who survives him. Other survivors include three sons; D A, Otis, tourist home operator, and Carl, an employee of the city; two daughters, Mrs Grace Pemberton and Mrs Carl Duncan of Lake City; three sisters, Mrs Lizzie Weaver, Mrs Rufe Foust, Mrs Becky Vaught, of Heiskell; 14 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Cox chapel with Dr W B Yates and the Rev Otis Dabney officiating. Burial was in Lynnhurst Cemetery. She was a member of the first Baptist Church.
