Mrs Strong is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Meredith and her husband, Jennings Meredith, of Clinton, and son, Dean Strong and his wife, Joann of Clinton. She is also survived by a sister, Monnie Russell of Oliver Springs, and three brothers, Truman Bullock of Powell, Robert Bullock of Palo, IN, and Harvey Bullock of Caryville, two granddaughters, Ashley Meredith of Clinton and Janet S. Christopher of Walland, a great-grandson, Darren Foust of Clinton, and by several nieces and nephews. A sister Nettie Towe, died earlier. The funeral will be at 8 tonight, Oct 2, in the chapel of Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton with the Rev George Williams officiating. A graveside service will be held at 10 AM Friday Oct 3, at McCarty Woodhaven Memory Gardens in Claxton. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home. The couple was married Jan 16, 1937 in Lake City by the Rev John T Pike. Approximately 90 people attended the reception, including out of town guests, Naomi Bonham and Carol Jackson of Alabama, Betty Disney of Maryville, Kelley and Thelma Horner and daughter of Knoxville, and James, Wanda, and Sherry Disney of Knoxville. Mr Disney is the son of the late William and Hettie Disney. He is a retired carpenter. He enjoys gardening and woodworking. Mrs Disney is the daughter of the late George and Elizabeth Strong. She enjoys canning and quilting. They are both members of Island Ford Baptist Church where Mr Disney has served as a deacon for more than 50 years. The couple's children are; Marilyn Harmon, Linda King, Jewell Glaspie, and Rosemary Miller.
