I am researching the James Morgan family. James [age 48] and wife Margaret Ann are found in Campbell co. Tn. in 1860 with children Mary E. [she is deaf], Martha, Thomas J., and Sarah C. The family is still in Campbell co. Tn. in 1870, but husband James is no longer with the family. In 1880 the family is in Anderson co. TN.; Margaret A. is the head of household and sons Thomas and Horas/Harris are still at home. Thomas Morgan married Matilda Herrell in Dec. 1881 in Anderson co., Now, in 1900 Anderson co. Tn. Thomas Morgans wife appears to be 'Sophia' born 1854, married 14 yrs.?????????? [has to be Matilda , the children are : ......Martha, dau. b: 1888, age 12, b:Tn. .....Lucy, dau. b: 1891, 9 b: Tn. .....Nancy, dau. b: 1895, 5 b: Tn. .....Rainey, dau. b: May,1897, age 3 .....Victoria, dau. b: 1900, age 2 months Heres the big mystery: In 1910 Thomas Morgan is living with his son William [born 1882], Thomas Morgan is a widower.
