    3. The Heritage of Anderson Co. TN - 2000 Page 73 Pleasant H. Kirby and Penelope Viles were married in Anderson County, Tennessee in 1848 and raised their 5 children in the Scarbrough community of Anderson County. Pleasant died of diarrah contracted in the Army three months after returning home from the Civil War in 1864. Penelope died sometime after December 1884 in Anderson County.
