July 14,1938 Former Briceville Man Killed In Virginia Mine The body of Lucus Braden, 48 who was killed July 13 when he came in contact with an electric wire in a mine in Bonny Blue, VA., where he was employed, was returned to Briceville, where he had lived most of his life,for burial. Funeral services were held at 2 P.M. Thursday at Briceville with burial in Circle cemetery. Mr. Braden is survived by a son, Estel, three sisters, Mrs. Dora White, Mrs. Nellie Galbreath, Mrs. Frances Mahan, all of Briceville,and five brothers, Oscar, and Green of Bonny Blue, Walker, Wesley and Irwin ,of Briceville.
