Clinton Courier Oct.24, 1990 Howard C. (Josh) Davis Howard Clifton (Josh) Davis, 37, of Heiskell Rt.1, died Monday at the University of Tennessee Medical Center of injuries received in a motorcycle accident on Oct.15, near Heiskell Crossroads in Knox County.He had been in ICU since the accident. Mr. Davis was reared in Wolf Valley and attended South Clinton Elementary and Clinton Senior High Schools. He worked as a drummer with bands in Nashville. He was of the Baptist faith. Besides his music, his mother said he enjoyed wood working and other building work, and outdoor activities. Survivors include a son, Joshua Davis Altum of Powell, mother, Reba Davis of Clinton, a brother, James Lawrence Davis of Clinton, a sister, Edith M.Hummel of Oak Ridge, aunts, Ava Anderson and Alda Alton of Clinton, Helen Rogers of Knoxville, and his best friend, Charles Leon Smallwood of Heiskell, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 8 p.m. tonight (Wednesday) at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home.The Rev. Joe Roop and the Rev. Jeff Calloway will officiate. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Tennessee Valley Gardens.The family will receive friends 6:30 to 8 p.m. tonight.
