Gambill, 82, of Oak Ridge, Alan David Watkins, age 50, of Oak Ridge, passed away Sunday, Aug. 19, 2007, at his residence. Mr. Watkins was born Aug. 29, 1956, in South Bend, Ind. He was a competitive body builder and won several awards in competition, including Mr. Knoxville in the late '80s. Mr. Watkins is survived by his parents, Clarence and Helen North Watkins of Oak Ridge; two brothers, Daryel I. Watkins of Dresden, Tenn., and William Keith Watkins of Oak Ridge; two sisters, Diane Marie Watkins Brown and husband, Douglas, of Claxton, Tenn., and Mary Ann Watkins Davidson and husband, Ben, of Oak Ridge; one niece, Angela Brown; one nephew, Brennen D. Watkins; and one great-niece, Emily Ann Watkins. The funeral will be Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2007, at 8 p.m. in the chapel of Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home with the Rev. Curtis Akers officiating. The interment will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
