Daugherty, of Madisonville, passed away 5:00 a.m. Saturday, February 5, 2005 at her home. Born March 28, 1940. Daughter of the late Tom Wright and Emma Lee Thompson. Preceded in death by: brother, Rev. Robert Thompson. Member of the First Baptist Church of Madisonville. Graduated from Madisonville High School in 1957. Attended and graduated from Tennessee Wesleyan College. Was a talented pianist and organist for several area churches thru the years. Retired Monroe County school teacher, after having taught for 39 1/2 years. Member of retired Teacher Association. Lifetime member of the Gospel Music Association. Faithful attendee of the Tennessee State Gospel Singing Convention where songs she and her husband had written were often sung. Taught private music sessions in her home for several years. Charter member of the Pilot Club of Monroe County, thru which she enjoyed serving as president several terms. Survivors: sister-in-law, Alma E. Thompson, Madisonville; nieces & nephews, Kelley & Lynn Garrett, St. Michael, MN, Cris Duncan, Vonore, Tommy & Patti Thompson, Niota; great nieces & nephews, Kristina Garrett, St. Michael, MN, Patricia & Thomas Trent Thompson, Niota. Funeral 8:00 p.m. Monday, Biereley-Hale Chapel, Dr. Lon Shoopman officiating. Interment 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, Christianburg Cemetery. JENNINGS, CHARLES - age 80 of Clinton, passed away Friday, February 4, 2005 at Ft. Sanders Regional Hospital. He was born July 15, 1924 and was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Oliver Springs. Charles was a veteran of the United States Army having served in World War II. He was preceded in death by: parents, John & Eva McDavid Jennings; first wife, Ruth Jennings; brothers, Kenneth, Clarence, Bob, and Dempsey. Survivors: wife, Lorene Jennings of Clinton; daughters, Barbara Rector & husband Johnny of Claxton; Brenda Fritts & husband Ronald of Clinton, Pat Wilder & husband Bill of Claxton; sons, Charles "Eddie" Jennings & wife Brenda of Clinton, Danny Jennings & wife Dortha of Clinton, Kyle Jennings & wife Glenna of Clinton, Gary Jennings & wife Emma of Clinton, Carroll Jennings of Clinton; step son, Mike Trentham & wife Carol of Clinton; step daughter, Susan Tupper & husband Tom of Clinton; sisters, Lena Torris & husband George of CA, Bernice Reynolds & husband Oscar of Overland Park, KS, Reba Griffith & husband Carl of Lake City; 12 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 6 step grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton is in charge of all arrangements. LEWIS, DELORES JEAN - 66 of Oak Ridge, went to be with the Lord her Savior on February 5, 2005 at Methodist Medical Center. Mrs. Lewis was born on February 14, 1938 in Lancaster, Kentucky. Mrs. Lewis was a homemaker and devoted grandmother. Survivors include: husband, Jason Clay Lewis, Oak Ridge; moth er-in-law, Myrtle West, Knoxville; sons, Jeff Lewis and fiancé Pamela Voegele, Oak Ridge, Steve Lewis and wife, Susan, Knoxville; grandchildren, Casey Lewis, Jason Lewis, Tim Lewis, and Stefanie Lewis; aunt, Marcella Spangler; nieces, Barbara Burns, Cleveland, TN, Beverly Sawyer, Kingsport, TN, Sharon Shartzer, Louisville, KY; and several other nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held tonight in the Chapel of Weatherford Mortuary, 8 PM with Rev. Herbert Lee officiating. A graveside service will be at 1 PM on Tuesday at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens. The family requests that memorials, in the form of donations, to Woodland Park Baptist Church, 200 Manhattan Ave., Oak Ridge, TN 37830.
