WANDA RUTH - age 57, of the Joyner Community, died Saturday, February 26, 2005, at the Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was preceded in death by her parents, James "Logan" and Amelia "Mealie" Settles, sister, Edna Brasel. Surviving; husband of forty years; Jimmy Morgan, of Joyner Community; sons and daughters-in-law, Dwain and Tammy Morgan, of Joyner Community, Terry and Wendy Morgan, of Clinton, Rodney and Shea Morgan, of Joyner Community; sisters, Dorothy Lawson, of Cincinnati, Ohio; brothers, Charles Settles and wife, Lois, of Ky., J. B. Settles and wife, Jerry, of Cincinnati, Ohio, Lawrence Settles of Wartburg; 8 grandchildren; Melanie Morgan, Melissa Morgan, Tucker Morgan, Isiah Bradshaw, Amelia Morgan, Macy Morgan, Bryson Morgan and Makenzy Morgan. The family will receive friends Sunday evening 6 to 8 P.M. Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg, with funeral services to follow. With Rev. David Kunsman officiating. Graveside services Monday 11 A.M. Union Cemetery. PRUETT, ETHEL M - age 78 Our family's beloved "Nana" passed away Feb. 25, 2005, after a long, hard-fought battle with cancer. A long time resident. of Kingston; She was a faithful member of Southwest Baptist Church and had retired from Wal-Mart. Survivors: daughter and son-in-law Kathy and Bill Smith of Knoxville; granddaughters Amy Smith of Knoxville, Sara Smith of Oak Ridge; Emily and husband Kenneth Kerr of Knoxville. The joys of her life, her great- grandchildren Austin and Cheyenne Kerr and Hannah Smith; sisters Ester Bacon and husband John of Kingston; Ressie Freitag of Nogales, Arizona; many nieces, nephews and friends. The family wishes to thank Dr. Ross Kerns and all the staff at TN. Cancer Specialists for all their wonderful care and St. Mary's Hospice for the loving care at the close of her life.
