Clinton Courier July 11,1990 Roger Sherman Irwin Roger Sherman Irwin,90 retired Union Carbide Nuclear Division employee,died July 3 at Methodist Medical of Oak Ridge.He had worked for 17 years as a stores clerk at the K-25 plant until his retirement in 1960.Mr.Irwin also was a dairy farmer. He lived on Andersonville Rt.2.He and his wife,the former Marie Stooksbury,celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on Jan.19,1990.Mr.Irwin was the son of the late Rev.John G. and Sarah Jane Stooksbury Irwin. He was a member of Andersonville United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, four sons, Earl Irwin of Andersonville,Paul and Jimmy Irwin both of Clinton, and Rex Irwin of Atlanta, five grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services were held July 4 in the chapel of Holley-Gamble Funeral Home with the Rev.George Buchanan and the Rev.Reed Shell officiating.Graveside services were held July 5 Norris Memorial Gardens.
