    3. Clinton Courier April 21-22, 1991 Rev. Vernon R. Daugherty The Rev. Vernon Rodford Daugherty,67,of Lake City Rt.2,died Wednesday at his home. Funeral services were held Saturday at Fraterville Baptist Church with the Rev.Carl Sharp and the Rev.Bill Thomas officiating.Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery. Mr.Daugherty was the son of the late Patrick and Betty Daugherty.A brother,Virgil,also preceded him in death. Mr.Daugherty's ministry included nursing homes in Toledo,Ohio.He was retired from the University of Toledo. A member of the Church of God,he also was a World War II Army veteran. Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Kathleen Barber Daugherty of Lake City, daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Kenneth Harp of Toledo, Joyce and Danny Skirvin of Oregon,Ohio.,Robin Braden of Toledo, a son, Van Daugherty of Lake City, son and daughter-in-law,David and Diane Daugherty of Toledo, 16 grandchildren,two great-grandchildren, one brother,Veril Daugherty of Lake City,a sister, Juanita Chamblee of Clinton,Stepmother, Janie Daugherty, half-brothers, Lowell Daugherty and Gloyd Daugherty,all of Caryville,half-sisters, Odiline Meredith of Caryville, and Florine Farmer of Michigan,and step-brother, Vershil Wilson of Caryville.Cox Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Clinton Courier April 21-22, 1991 Kathleen Harness Miss.Kathleen Harness,53,of Briceville Rt.1, died April 16,at Methodist Medical Center. A native of Anderson County she was the daughter of the late Johnny and Lottie Harness. Miss. Harness was a member of Laurel Grove Baptist Church.Survivors include two sisters, Nadine White of Lake City and Wanda Sue White of Lewisville,Texas, two brothers, Ruley Benson and Don Harness both of Briceville, several nieces and nephews,and other relatives and friends. Services were held April 18 at Martin Funeral Home in Lake City with the Rev.Tom Byrge officiating. Burial was in Laurel Grove Cemetery. Clinton Courier April 21-22, 1991 Ethel Mae Neal Funeral services were held Thursday night in the chapel of Martin Funeral Home in Lake City for Ethel Mae Neal, 78, of Lake City, who died Wednesday at Lafollette Medical Center. The Rev.Walter Allen officiated.Burial was Friday at Campbell Memorial Gardens. Her husband was the late Pernick Neal. A homemaker,she was a member of Red Ash Baptist Church. Survivors include a sister, Sarah Ogle of Lake City, five nieces, Evon Cooper of Lake City, Lucille Floyd of Lafollette, Polly Massengill of Bristol, Bertha Ridnour of Florida, and Cecil Nance of Lake City, one nephew, Bill Sharp of Lake City, and other relatives and friends.
