I found out about the Ohio Veteran's Home putting their cemetery online via newspaper article. The article states that some of the stones date back to the civil war. Johnson's Island, in Lake Erie and near Sandusky, Ohio was home to a confederate prison. There is a separate cemetery on the island but to the best of my knowledge it has not been published online. I have visited, however, and a good number of the stones there are marked "Unknown". Sheila
